Shimano Tiagra

The Shimano Tiagra conventional spinning reel is one of the world’s most popular reels among avid anglers. No matter what you are out to get, whether it be a giant bluefin tuna or a sailfish, the Shimano Tiagra series reels will get the job done.

There are a total of nine reels in the Tiagra series ranging from the TI12 to the TI130A. The Tiagra reels feature a very innovative hydrothermal drag system that all but eliminates the drag setting variances. The solid aluminum frame is designed to fish heavier line right out of the box, making these reels perfect for long range fishing. Each Tiagra reel has a specially tailored drag so you can match your reel and rod to whatever species you are out to get. The Tiagra reels feature anti-rust bearings, chrome plated sideplates screws, twin pawl anti-reverse, ratcheting drag lever, a a cold forged aluminum spool and a rod clamp. For more leverage when ‘grinding’ on a big one, the Tiagra reels feature an ergonomic power grip handle. ( not available on the TI-12 or TI-16).
