The ULA Force reel combines the weight savings of the ULA Purist with the super smooth conical drag that is used in the ULA Force Saltwater reel. The ULA Force offers you the stopping power that you’ll need for strong running fish, durability for travel and a lightweight design that allows you to cast all day long without becoming fatigued.

With their cutting edge design, the ULA Force reels are the lightest reels on the market today. Lamson has used titanium to minimize the weight on this series of high quality reels. The ULA Force reels also offer the versatility of the “Fx” spools. With these reels, adding a spare “Fx” spool is the same as buying an entirely new reel for the price of a spool.

The drag system in these reels consists of a pair of matched concial elements that are drawn together with spring tension to produce variable rates of smooth braking. The spool’s rotating mass is lower than the drag elements so the reel is more responsive to light drag settings.

The Lamson ULA Force clutch mechanism relies on the locking effect of several ramps and rollers to achieve torque transmission. There are no teeth to break off or to wear out.
