Lamson Konic

The Waterworks Lamson company prides itself on producing high quality and top-of-the-line fishing reels. The Lamson Konic delivers a great design and is Lamson’s most affordable reel. The very same smooth and fully sealed conical drag system and stainless steel roller clutch that Lamson uses with its most expensive reels is used in the Konic series. The Konic reels feature machined components and pressure cast ALDC12 aluminum allow spools and frames. The reels are anodized and then given a finish with a 100% polyurethane coating that resists abrasions and gouging.

The Lamson Konic frame and spool are solid single-part pieces. The frame and spool are ’skim cut’ on CNC machines. In this process a think layer is cut away to provide a finish that is comparable to a fully machined reel. The Konic is a true large arbor reel that is very lightweight. It is great looking, strong and put together well.

The Lamson Konic drags offer zero start-up inertia and a smooth transition through the entire torque range. The drag will perform exactly the same under all conditions. You should not have to think about your drag when you are fishing and the Konic reel does not need to be cleaned or lubricated.
